Have you ever wanted to write a pitch for a film or series project but don't know where to start?
This special edition workshop with Lex Garcia will run you through the steps of how to create, write and hopefully, pitch a film idea.
Lex Garcia is a Montreal screenwriter and director. His work navigates masculinity, community and surrealism. Trilingual and from a multicultural environment, he uses the marriage of languages as a literary device, to explore the universes he creates. An INIS graduate (mixed Netflix program, 2021), Lex wrote and hosted the talk show La Base (tou.tv, 2019-2022) and wrote the series Ça prend pas la tchas à Papineau (tou.tv, 2023). He also co-wrote and starred in the short film À la vie à l'amor (Colonelle Films, 2022). He recently wrote and directed the short film Déficit (Colonelle films, 2026) and is currently developing the series Chez Julien.
