On June 3rd, Palestinian artist Lina Makoul joined us for an intimate night of storytelling, journey and performance for our first Maktaba Moment of the season. Thank you to all who came and supported this moment.
On June 17, Maktaba’s founders Yassin and Sundus engaged in a conversation about MAKTABA, We Are The Medium and the marriage between art and care, culture and curation, media and the moment.
Our time together began with a moderated artist talk between Rajni and Sundus, where they dove into world-building, the science and fiction behind her process and navigating the art industry as a deeply-rooted artist.
On March 17, we had the pleasure of welcoming Hamed Sinno to Maktaba. Hamed spoke about various topics, including the pandemic's impact and the eventual dissolution of Mashrou' Leila as a band.
