On May 7th, we were joined by photographer Oumayma Ben Tanfous for an intimate conversation as she discussed her new photobook, Between I and Lands. Moderated by Hanna Zeïda, the discussion delved into the story behind the book, Oumayma’s creative process, and the behind-the-scenes journey of self-publishing a photobook.
Oumayma Ben Tanfous is a Tunisian photographer who grew up between Tunis and Montreal. Blending fashion and documentary photography, her work explores themes of community, belonging, and identity. Her photographs have been featured in Vogue, Document Journal, and Dazed, and exhibited internationally. In 2025, she released her first photobook, Between I and Lands.
