March 17th until the 31st at Maktaba marked the arrival of Nowruz, with our annual installation of the Sofreh-ye Haft Seen, otherwise known as the Table of Seven S's.
March 17th until the 31st at Maktaba marked the arrival of Nowruz with our annual installation of the Sofreh-ye Haft Seen, otherwise known as the Table of Seven S's. This marked our third collaboration with the wonderful No Rules Nowruz!
Having coincided with the Holy Month of Ramadan, we took a few moments to rest and reflect in the Majlis as we welcomed Nowruz.
Nowruz, meaning 'new day' in farsi, is the spring equinox which many communities consider as the beginning of a New Year and nature cycle. As we observed the victory of light over darkness, and the season of rebirth, the haftseen table was a visual representation of prayers and intentions for a new day.
