Born in Paris, the author moved to Algiers at the age of 7, before returning to France as an adult. At each stage of his life, he reflects on his journey as a migrant and the challenges he faces in shaping his identity: learning a new language and feeling lonely in Algeria, structural racism, queer life, feeling disconnected, and even dissociation in Paris.
