On Friday, March 17, from 7-9pm, we had the pleasure of welcoming Hamed Sinno to Maktaba. Hamed spoke about various topics, including the pandemic's impact and the eventual dissolution of Mashrou3 Leila as a band. He also touched upon the challenges he faced in finding his own solo voice and the introspective nature of consumers' behavior during the pandemic.
These experiences ultimately shaped his solo projects, which originated from his Amazon purchasing habits and evolved into an opera performance premiering at the Shubbak festival in London. During the event, he delighted the audience with some of his new music and poetry while also sharing insights into his longstanding artistic relationship with Yassin.
