Fantasized, objectified, demonized—the colonial West has long imposed an alienating view of love in the occupied regions. Today, it is a matter of reclaiming it. From the Algerian War of Independence to contemporary queer struggles, from Morocco to Afghanistan, love runs through revolutionary movements, inspires solidarity, and rehumanizes our narratives. But it remains ambivalent: liberating or exploited, inclusive or exclusionary, it shapes our worlds.
