Ferdinand is black and exiled. He divides his time between Paris and New York. In Manhattan, he stays with Jenny. Then he meets the beautiful Fran in a bar in Greenwich Village. Ferdinand is discouraged, Fran is desperate. For three days, they walk, run, gamble, wander, stroll, and love each other all over New York.
